As the vice president of talent development, Aaron Robbins is responsible for managing an employee’s full experience at CSA. He provides oversight and management to human resources, talent acquisition, career development, internal communications and employee engagement.
Prior to this role, Aaron was the senior director of talent development and lead a similar portfolio of functions except without the responsibility for human resources and internal communications.
Before his role in Talent Development, Aaron held the position of Senior Director of Operations, Southwest Region where he held responsibility for internal and external delivery on all west coast contracts including oversight of operations, personnel and task management to ensure outstanding client delivery and satisfaction. Prior to leading the SW region, Aaron lead and managed CSA’s largest west coast contract, SPAWAR 5.0/6.0/FRD. He was responsible for the cost, schedule, performance, and risk management for approximately 130 CSA and subcontractor personnel supporting various SPAWAR departments and program offices.
Before joining CSA, Aaron was a federal civilian employee at PEO C4I and SPAWAR Systems Center (SSC) Pacific. In his most recent government role, Aaron was the Assistant Program Manager for the submarine ADNS program, responsible for management and oversight of the submarine and airborne variants of the ADNS ACAT II program of record. Prior to ADNS, he was the project manager of the Network Integration and Engineering Facility (NIEF) overseeing the production, testing, and engineering support for multiple C4I Navy systems. Aaron began his career at SSC Pacific as a mechanical engineer providing design support for robotic and underwater acoustic systems. He also supported various process improvement initiatives as an organizational leader in CMMI, Lean Six Sigma and the Project Management Guide (PMG). Prior to his government career, Aaron worked as an engineer at Grundfos Pump Company and Heatron Inc. supporting technical drawing development and manufacturing design.
Aaron is a graduate of the University of Kansas where he received a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering. Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk! Aaron maintains certifications as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB), Project Management Professional (PMP), Risk Management Professional (RMP) and DAWIA SPRDE-SE Lvl III. He also holds a patent for tools with robotic systems.
Aaron is happily married to his wife, Keri, and has three rambunctious children: Annabelle, Emily and Benjamin. Aaron is an avid reader and has grown a passion for leadership theory as well as industrial and neuro-psychology. Outside of work, his interests include KU basketball, eating fresh spring rolls, hiking and endurance running, having completed multiple marathons and ultra-marathons.
